Mission Beach is a beachside town set in ancient rainforests, known as Djiru Country, 150km south of Cairns ​in far north Queensland.
The Mission Beach Historical Society was formed in 2020 to collect, record, preserve and promote local history.

Acknowledgement of Country
The Mission Beach Historical Society acknowledges the Djiru Traditional Owners
​and their continuing connection to land, waters and community.
In and near Mission Beach we pay our respects to Elders past and present.
